where the mad men are.

went to Nordstrom today for their GQ & Hugo Boss party and hubby got a makeover! yay! he totally needed it. carson kressley was hosting and he is hi-la-ri-ouz! husband was also impressed with carson's skillz. carson knew my husband's size of everything just by looking at him. they were inspired by mad men. much better, daddy!

cabbage p-patch kids.

stopped by the playground at cascade park to play with all the other little kiddies and saw that they have a community p-patch. how does one get into these things?

hafsteinn, hafsteinn, quite divine, how does your garden grow?

went and visited the cousins today in the burbs. their daughter, jada, is a serious genius! she's only two years old and she can read books! i was amazed. one of her faves is Dr. Seuss the tooth book. we also got to take home fresh apricots, tomatoes, cucumbers, and green bellpeppers from their garden. yummeh! got me thinking... i should start my own garden. how eco-fabulous is this Growing Jewelry ring? it's my urban version of a garden. wish it could grow tomatoes too.

princess for a day.

the sun came out to play! my husband's boss was off in china for work so my husband and his co-workers decided to play a little prank on him and redecorate his office. the theme was princess palace. went to husband's office today to put the finishing touches. you can check out his flickr for the recap on the whole room makeover. hilarious!

tottini + natursutten = yay!

i'm so excited and i just can't hide it! tottini is now carrying the natursutten pacifiers! yay! i don't have to order them online anymore and wait a week to ship! hoops likes to chew on them now and use them as teethers. he's also learned how to throw stuff out of his stroller. we had a pacifier casualty a mere 10 minutes after we left the store. thankfully, i bought an extra one as backup. i also spotted the newly redesigned Stokke tripp trapp highchairs in the limited designer gray color. i sooo want one! i mean, hoops sooo wants one!

the wheels on the bus goes round and round.

ok. was on the bus today and there was a gma with her gson. they were just randomly riding the bus to nowhereland or until her gson said to get off. i thought, what a cool idea to pass time! she was all pointing out random things too like "there's a ladder; there's a bicycle; there's a bum" (totally kidding about the last one). i'm so gonna use this once my little boy knows how to speak! i told her that bus tranfers also works on the slut (which is great cause they don't make you collapse your stroller). she liked it. she thanked me. good karma points! weee!

push, push, smile.

giving birth is just not a pretty process, period, but somehow you end up with about a gazillion photos of you in the maternity ward. so, i'm not pregnant and giving birth anytime soon, but if i was i would totally snap one of these stylish Daniela Corte dar-a-luz maternity gowns. they're made with 100% organic cotton! woo to the hoo! the design also makes your first time breastfeeding an easier task (you got enough to worry about than being conscious if you're flashing the whole ward with those tie-at-the-front hospital gowns they give you). so to my fellow fashionistas in their third trimester - you we're warned! i mean just because you're giving birth doesn't mean you can't look cute. sigh... maybe, if i had these it would've saved me hundreds of countless hours of me trying to photoshop myself out of those drab hospital gowns...

the mistress says behave.

my sissy just got the Pour La Victoire sacha gladiator bootie. the line just launched in '07 and are made in brazil, but with a french aesthetic. she's such a fashionista. she got them even before wwwd profiled it. aren't they fierce to the max? hmmm... i might have to borrow them to do some disciplining. can't you just see yourself sending your wee one to the corner for timeout in these tough booties? strict!
on sissy...
shoes: pour la victoire sacha gladiator bootie
toes: opi polish in eiffel. [recommended green alternative] julep vernis in angelina (as in jolie)
. (i can totally see her in these booties whipping brad and the brood into shape in their french chateau. how very 21st century marie antoinette!)

amazon is offering $25 off these shoes and ships for free! plus their price is $15 cheaper than retail!

this little piggy went to the market...but, had to have pizza and tiramisu beforehand

went on our weekly trip to wholefoods (or as k calls it, wholepaycheck), but got sidetracked by our bellies and decided to have pizza at Tutta Bella first. i say, why not? tutta bella is fast becoming one of my fave pizza places. it's the type of place you eat at and don't feel like a big fatty afterwards. husband got their seasonal sweet pepper and sausage pizza (yums!) and i got the house salad with some fire-roasted chicken (yummy!). they serve neopolitan style pizza like they do in naples (as in italy, dahling) and they have the VPN certification mark given by the associazione verace pizza napoletana. they follow very strict standards such as using only san marzano tomatoes, a low-gluten flour, fresh herbs and cheeses, chemical-free water, and all-natural yeast. so with all that healthy goodness goin on, we decided indulge in some tiramisu (yummers!). their tiramisu is seriously awesome, but cant eat too much cause of all that espresso and i'm still breastfeeding. wa wa wa! then onto wholefoods we went.
here's a small peek inside our shopping cart...
ch, ch, check out!

hi doll!

so i just moved here to gray gray seattle from sunny cali - (actually it was 2 years ago, but i'm just starting to consider myself a seattlelite). took a while getting used to, but i'm starting to get over it - fresh(er) air, organic food (yum!), public transpo (eeks! no car). so far these 2 years have had crazy life altering things happen to me, such as, oh, having a kid and getting married! gone are the carefree days clubbing in weho with the girls (tear) and debating over which makeup (MAC or Cargo) gives our decolletage a subtle shimmery shine... oh well! now i've got new adventures to conquer (and new products to discover! Bravado bras, anyone?)! the baby department is all new to me! there's sooo much stuff, but as my grandma told my mom "yes, yes, it's all made to be cute." how about cute and healthy, grandma? ah, ha! we went through a total household makeover while i was pregnant. i've always wanted to do the whole green thing since forever... my significant other, on the otherhand, was a bit skeptical about it all, but i've had had enough. i was pregnant and hormoning - who can say no to a fat pregnant lady with a super nose? parabens, sls, phthalates, bpa's be gone! our apt is a LEED certified bldg and we donated our car (don't worry it wasn't a bentley). we are now fully embracing being seattlelites and being green. that's how we do! so that's me - a gray city dwelling first time mommy trying to do it all green. i'm learning new things every month, every week, and everyday because of my little boy hoops, so here we go...
